NITCO (Northwestern Indiana Telephone Company) is an Independent telephone company. We have been providing local telephone service to parts of 4 counties for over 70 years. Communities served by NITCO's telephone service include the East Side of Lakes of the Four Seasons, Hebron, DeMotte, Roselawn and Mt. Ayr. 

In 1993 NITCO began sponsoring a local bulletin board system (BBS). In 1994 the BBS had expanded to 10 lines and NITCO took over the operation of the system. In late 1994 NITCO started research into beginning Internet access services in northwest Indiana. With approximately 1 year of careful planning and preparation NetNITCO began taking customers on August 21, 1995. 

In mid December of 1995 NetNITCO expanded its services to Valparaiso.   In late December of the same year we turned up our Lake County service with pops (Points of Presence) in Gary, Merrillville and Lowell. Early in February of 1996 NetNITCO became local to Michigan City. Services were launched in La Porte Indiana. 

NetNITCO SERVICES TODAY 

As the desire for higher speed services increased, NetNITCO began to focus on High Speed DSL services within the NITCO area and High Speed Wireless Services in other areas of Northwest Indiana. Today NetNITCO even provides direct fiber optic connections to a few business entities and educational facilities. With over 70 years of telecommunications experience, NetNITCO provides the highest quality service available. 

NetNITCO offers free technical support via our local or 800 numbers 7 days per week. We offer technical support which never closes. Help is always available when you need it. NetNITCO offers standard dial up business and residential accounts as well as nationwide access via dial up service. We provide DSL within the NITCO telephone service area.
